With almost two decades of committed and energetic playing behind them, Maximum Bob have a solid reputation for keeping the dance floor busy as well as providing a satisfying experience for listeners of all tastes.

Their repertoire is a broad range of pop covers from all era mixed liberally with a totally live set of ceilidh tunes.

The band’s normal line up is lead guitar, bass, drums (all singing) and either a fiddler or box player to lead the ceilidh sets. By arrangement the band can be expanded to include a piper/whistle player- this line-up works particularly well for parties where long sets of reels are the thing.

Maximum Bob’s players pride themselves on adapting their  set to suit the tastes of guests on the night, and also take pleasure in offering to learn special requests for first dances.
