"WHERE THE VENUE FITS THE AUDIENCE..".

CLUB OBSCURA is unique to Scotland in one simple way: the venue is announced 48 hours prior to the date of performance!  Thus alleviating the discomfort of overcrowding, or sometimes worse, trying to enjoy a show in a half empty room!  You are given a general location (i.e. Aberdeen City) but final venue is chosen to suit ticket sales.

 Simple? Yes.  Genius? Possibly.  So how does it work?

A FUN QUIZ...

Nothing too heavy duty.   Music, sport, geography, TV & film, and maybe an 'era' round based on the decade of the performing artist.  Academics and pro quizzers may sneak a point or two on the general knowledge round, but ultimately it's a 'fun' quiz using audio and visuals wherever possible.

A BUFFET!

Yes we feed you as well.  Our buffets may be a bit light on high class delicatessen produce (unless a venue is particularly keen to impress) but unless you have a particularly voracious appetite you shouldn't go hungry.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE...?

Yes, we agree it does appear exceptionally good value, considering how quickly twenty quid can disappear when on an afternoon, evening, or night out.

 However  XSP has been bringing top quality artists to Scotland for over 20 years now.  We have always sold our artists to our clients (mainly on Friday/Saturday nights) and will continue to do so, but from 2018 we will be taking an extra date for ourselves, maybe a Thursday night, sometimes a Friday, and we are pretty keen on Sunday afternoons as well!  

Which allows us to offer high quality entertainment at attractive price.
