PICTURE THIS
XS Promotions are official representatives for PICTURE THIS

PICTURE THIS is a highly experienced, well renowned wedding/corporate function 3 pce. band in the North East of Scotland. Their music genre covers pop/rock/ballads/blues/swing/dance/country/rock'n'roll/ceilidh/you name it!

They use a 'high spec' 2k Mackie PA System, suitable for small and large venues alike (500 seated) enhanced by their own portable light show. They regularly play at the top venues in the North East (Aberdeen Beach Ballroom, Thainstone Exchange, Aberdeen Xmas lights' 'switch-on' 2004, Arbroath Beerfest-600 seated, The Marcliffe, Pittodrie House, Ardoe House, Lands of Loyal, Invercarse, Balbirnie House etc. The list is endless! They are a very energetic visual band who always have fun on stage!

The band consists of Tracy (Lead/backing vocals), Rod (Keyboards & lead/backing vocals & 'caller' for ceilidh dances) and Kenny (guitar & lead/backing vocals) and has been in operation since early 2003. Prior to this, Tracy and Rod worked together in top corporate band 'The Big Picture' for 7 years gaining invaluable corporate/function experience.

Rod is responsible for producing all of the bands midi arrangements, hence his nickname 'music guru'. He was in Tayside's renowned band 'Mafia' at their peak in the early nineties playing alongside the likes of 'The Average White Band' and 'Sounds of the Drifters'. Tracy was part of a successful duo called 'Dick Tracy' performing around Dundee's working mens clubs, pubs and function arena. This was where they both learned their trade.
In 2002, this talented pair decided it was time to form their own band. This is when Kenny agreed to jump on board and PICTURE THIS was born!

Kenny has brought a lifetime of invaluable experience to the band. His amazing 'throaty' vocal is completely different from both Rod and Tracy's voices and enables endless versatility to their repertoire, covering the 1950's to present day. He has toured Europe, had a record deal, been in many different bands and also worked as a session musician, doing a lot of sought after TV work.

All in all, PICTURE THIS are fast becoming one of the most popular function bands in the North East, and deservedly so! From the moment they arrive to set-up, the organisers/clients can sit back, relax and enjoy the party. There is never an empty dancefloor when PICTURE THIS are playing and absolutely no risk factor involved when booking this band!
