Leona began treading the boards as a ballerina with junior associate of The Scottish ballet .before training as what she was described in the stage newspaper as ‘A Triple Threat. ‘

She trained in Musical Theatre at Motherwell College and went onto a successful pop career with girl band Lemonescent . They achieved a total of 4 top 40 UK hits and supported Attomic Kitten and Blue on their UK arena tour .   

As a classical cross over singer she was Quoted as' Opera singer to The stars in Hello Magazine' 2010 and recently appeared as a judge on BBC1 singing programme All Together Now season 1 and 2. As well as lead Soprano in Baroquestra which transfers London's West End in 2020 .  She has toured the world including Japan, Canada and Russia and Simon Cowell said she had a ‘ great voice on semi final of Britain Got Talent from her performance on chasing the Dream, The Musical

Musical Theatre credits include Rent at Greenwich, Lead soprano in The Broadway Divas UK Tour , Penny in Dirty Dancing, Ireland, Carol In Golden Music moments, Sandy in Grease Magic, Queen Amphitrite in Aqua Cirque , Rodgers and Hammersteins Song Book, Connie in Twist and Shout, lead vocalist /dancer in Circus of Horrors, Route 66 , Wonderful Westend, Hold Tight is 70s Night, Boogie Nights, and Ivana in Never Say Never and bond girl in Diamonds are for Eric at the new Vic Theatre.
