Jim Leishman is a popular after-dinner speaker, with a reputation for his fantastic sense of humour and warmth. He has a natural ability to connect with audiences and has entertained crowds at events all over the country. His likability and engaging personality have made him a much-loved figure in Scottish sport and beyond.
Jim enjoyed a successful career as both a player and a manager. He spent the majority of his playing career at Dunfermline Athletic FC, where he also later became manager. During his time at the club, he helped them win several trophies, including the Scottish Cup in 1968.
Off the pitch, Jim is known for his tireless fundraising efforts, particularly for children's charities. He has been involved in a number of initiatives to support young people in Scotland, and is widely respected for his commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
In addition to his football and fundraising achievements, Jim is also well known for his time as the Provost (Mayor) of Dunfermline. He served in the role for over a decade and was widely praised for his dedication to the town and the wider county of Fife.
